Brown, Chicago attorney Marlene Kamish, Los Angeles attorney Eliot Lee Grossman, and Philadelphia attorney J. Michael Farrell along with Mumia abu-Jamal took over representation of his case on May 4th. Mumia's new attorneys also filed several statements recounting events of December 9th.
